Soccer Camp

Christ Lutheran's Soccer Camp is a free, four-day soccer camp open to all children ages 5-12. It is held July 9th-12th, from 9 a.m. – 11:30p.m. at Samuel Lutheran School (500 Village Drive) in Marshall. Online registration for our 2018 camp is now open. Click the “Register Online Here” link at the bottom of this page to register your child. Registration sheets are also available at church or in the office at Samuel Lutheran. 

At our camp, participants are divided into teams based on their age level. Each team is coached throughout the week by one head coach and a number of assistant coaches. Each day includes warm-up exercises, soccer drills, a skill for the day, and numerous games and scrimmages. Also included are snacks, water breaks, and a daily devotion from God’s Word.  We will provide a water bottle, daily snacks and drinks.
 

• Athletic shorts/ T-shirt
• Shin guards
• Running shoes or Soccer cleats
• Sunscreen
• Your own soccer ball with your name written on it (optional)
  • Size 4 Ball for Kindergarten – 4th Grades, Size 5 Ball for 5th – 6th Grades

*There is no need to bring water bottles and snacks. Water and snacks will be provided daily. We will make sure all campers are kept as hydrated and cool as possible.
 

A sample day is organized as follows:

• 8:45 - 8:55 Arrive at camp and sign in
• 8:55 - 9:10 Warm-up and introductions
• 9:15 - 9:45 Opening devotion and large group skills demonstration
• 9:45 - 10:15 Small group skills work
• 10:15 - 10:30 Small group games
• 10:30 - 10:40 Snack time
• 10:40 - 11:10 Bible lesson/music
• 11:10 - 11:30 Scrimmage games
• 11:30 Sign out and pick-up

In the event of light rainy weather we will continue with the soccer camp. Camp participants are welcome to continue participating if they are comfortable doing so.

In the event of heavy rain or any lightning and thunder, we will be moving inside to continue the camp utilizing the gymnasium and classrooms with modifications to camp schedule.

Watch the weather to make your own decision on whether you still wish to send your children, but regardless we will keep them active in soccer during the scheduled time no matter what!
